In a realm saturated with "lo-fi pop" music, it can be hard to sift through what is good, who has their shit together, who doesn't, etc. Lucky for us, Honeydrum has been straight honey right from the start. Formed in Winter 2010 in New Brunswick, NJ, where they are still based, the band has released eight other releases, the most recent of which being the Stranger Calls 7" and the Do U Party? CD, both with the venerable Amdiscs. Though a loose group with revolving members, this cassette was recorded by Joseph Black (voice/guitar), Raymond Schwab (guitar/keys/bass), and Marc Esterow (drums). If you are unfamiliar with their previous releases, this cassette is as good an introduction as either, if not better. Smooth buzzy pop grooves and deeply catchy melodies sparkle out of the speakers right onto your lap.
